    Air Rifle Bluing

Want my Air Arms Pro Sport re-bluing. Internet search points the Manchester Airguns, but they’ve said they no longer offer this.

    Can anyone recommend someone?

    Thanks.

Shaun at ISP does a good job.

I've also used Paul Chell, but last time I tried to contact him I didn't get an answer.

I remember some on here suggesting that Colin sold his blueing equipment to someone who was planning on starting up but I've seen nothing since.
    Anyone else no anything?
ISP has a strong reputation and I don't think you would loose your gun like many did with the Richard H situation.

Paul Chell is actively doing this on the other forum, I'm not sure if he is on this one or not TBH, but his work is very good and he gets a lot of it, so he must be doing it well and for the right price or his name would be mud - you gotta love a forum

Had a TXSR done by Paul Chell. Came back quickly and looking superb. Highly recommended.

Thanks so far. Anyone got contact details for Paul Chell, or any of the others?

    Bluing

Look to see if you have a local metal finishers! We have and for the price of a drink they make a lovely job. Of course you have to prepare the gun first. I polish them to 320 grit. White vinegar will quickly strip off all the bluing.
When I die don't let my wife sell my guns for what she thinks I gave for them!!!

there is a difference between bluing and blacking which is what paul chell does, bluing is how it would come from the factory and as far as I am aware the only person actually doing it properly is shaun at ISP no doubt paul is good at what he does but it is not bluing.

But I've see pictures of both of the above and they both looked excellent quality, so I guess it's just a matter of looking at both and deciding
