    Webley Junior tinplate grip

I've just been handed a tinplate grip Webley Junior smoothbore, serial J 4906 ( could be J4900), with a request to repair/restore. It cocks and the trigger works, but I haven't tried firing it in case the seal is shot and it slams back with no compression.

What's one of these worth? The blueing is pretty much all gone but it doesn't seem too badly pitted. The browny-red finish on the frames is just about discernable - is there any way of bringing this back?

Best thing for it? New seal and wire wool plus metal wax finish, or strip and re-blue?

Very hard to give a valuation on something without actually seeing it (or at least photos) but I would think £100-£120 as a starter. 0000 wire wool and oil would probably be best. if sold, leave it to the new owner to refinish to their taste
