I can see why Ped, just a tiny oring holding it in the valve. Crosman didn't want anyone inside this valve with the amount of loctite, I had to use a Butane torch.

The diameter of the replacement discovery valve stem is too thick and won't fit.

for these a new style 2100 stem is used
i keep them as the original is obsolete -i can fit a new seal them as well if it needs to be totally original
heat and a lathe in collusoin collet blocks is my approach to them
a tip is to use copper wire in the seal groove

Thanks Ped, I've sent you a message regarding the valve stem.

I recieved a boxed Webley Rebel in .22 cal. It doesn't appear to have had a lot of use and functions well. A hybrid Rebel/Innova could be interesting.

quite a few wobblies have been used to rejuvenate old innova's usually it's only the breech and stock that is used as the wobblie barrels aren't that good and neither are the cylinder/valve/lever

Pretty much nothing worth keeping on the Rebel then

The plastic stock actually fits quite well and is probably my favourite thing about the Rebel. It takes 4 pumps before venting and has quite a muzzle crack.

lol.. that's quite a telling list of sub standard components

Is the trigger mech the same ?
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Talking of sub standard, I will need a seal kit for the Rebel. It doesn't hold air for very long.

    That's excellent work, thank you.
It might be worth having a rebuilt original stem as a spare if it's not too much bother.

I have more guns in bits than complete at the moment, it will be nice getting everything organised. In the meantime I must resist any bargains that come along, which is difficult with Kempton fair next weekend.

Ped Have you ever thought about machining a better 2200 probe set up with a proper oring for a seal?
