    Anics skiff 3000 top slide

I have an Anics 3000 skiff with the old brass valve block.

I can take the top slide off with ease, knock the slide switches down, comes off no problem.

Now my friend also has one & im trying to see if it’s also got the brass valve block.

But for some reason his doesn’t want to come off seems really stuck on there?

It fires & functions well it’s just the top slide that won’t come off?

Any ideas to why his is not coming off & mine comes off very easily?

I managed to get the slide off.

Just took a bit more force than usual.

It has an alloy valve block, unlike mine with the brass valve block. The alloy blocks look a lot smaller than the brass ones.

The alloy valve block version is a lot more difficult to remove the slide and is also much more firgile so take care when removing the slide , the vslvle block is where the slide atached at the rear and the alloy ones are pron to cracking off

The brass block / early versions are much better made IMHO
