    Baker rifle yesterday....

This is the best little movie I took yesterday, if you slow it down you can see that jet of flame from the touchhole as the main charge lights up!!

Load is 90gr of 2Fg and a .62cal patched ball.

This is a video from my YouTube channel.
The gun is a .45 cal flint lock i recorded it on my phone at 900fps then slowed it down with software
You can see it was a seriously delayed ignition.

There is some more black powder guns along with my roger & Spencer (euro arms) and my palmetto roots revolving rifle, along with other guns and my mosan nagant's cheap muzzle brake making a brake for freedom (nothing hit the inside of it)

Hi there, Tall, I thought I'd made it clear that this lovely rifle belongs to the guy shooting it, who is definitely NOT me!!! It is actually a replica made by Peter Dyson, who no longer makes them, if his website, now run by his son, is anything to go by.

They were quite costy, at around £4500 or £5000 last time I looked, and took up to three years to manifest themselves. This one is almost eight years old now, and gets very little use.

I've recently seen a similar genuine article here in UK for around the £8000 mark...

However, if you really MUST have one, take a look at the rifle used by Rob over on britishmuzzleloaders on Youtube. It is, in fact, a well-fettled Indian version, sold here in UK at around £700 for a rifled version, and a couple of hundred less for a smoothie - as used bey re-enactors of the 95th Regiment of Rifles [Sharpe's Own].

Me too. I'd love to just fire one although 3 rounds a minute might be out of my league
