    Webley Senior Pistol Date.

    Just having a bit of a tidy up,and just found a Slant grip Senior.It has brown grips with Webley Logo and a knurling barrel (hope that's the correct term).
    Serial number is 82
    Birmingham 4 Address.
    Any clue on the date please? Can put some pics up.

    Webley abandoned serial numbering their products after the war and replaced it with a batch numbering system, which made it difficult for collectors to readily identify manufacturing dates. One general dating aid is provided by the address stamped on the side of the pistols which included the “B4” postal code before 1958 after which the factory relocated from their Weaman Street premises. It is rather difficult to pin point a year but some rather more keen collectors with far more knowledge than me might help.
