This MK1 with Tyrolean stock was 1983 manufacture, so I would agree that 1989 would be a MK 2.

There is an easy way to tell what mark your 77 is and that's by which underlever catch is fitted.

There are 3 main types

Ball catch Mk1

Thumb sliding catch Mk2

Press button catch Mk3
