    Sunday 27th October 1985.

On that cold, damp Sunday morning twenty years ago I opened the gates to Rivington Riflemens outdoor range for the first time.
Since that day we have grown to be the biggest airgun club in the north west with a present membership of 150. We have had thousands of people of all ages and both sexes, with differing skill levels and disabilities, shooting at our ranges during that time and gained many friends in the airgun trade.
We've had 3 outdoor ranges (none of which were as good as our present two outdoor ranges) and converted a disussed chicken shed into a 40 yard rifle and 10 metre pistol ranges.
We've run dozens of 'Introduce The Public To Airguns' days at a variety of venues and helped run the airgun section of many BASC Young Shots Days throughout the north.
We've raised many thousands of pounds for a variety of charities and held lots of social events including fancy dress parties.

Heres to the next twenty years.

Thank you all for your very kind comments.

I'm sure I speak for the rest of the club members when I say we intend to continue to protect our sport through education, promote our sport through example and continue to raise monies for good causes while at the same time enjoying ourselves.
