    Air arms s310

Hi just bought s310 to start with until I decide on my next gun thanks for all the info so far. What sort of maintenance should I be doing on this gun and does anybody no fill pressure. When bought the gun was filled to 190 is that max or can it take more lol

The 310 pre dates the 410. The 400 series, on the whole prefer a fill pressure of 160 - 170, I'm presuming the 310 would be pretty much the same. Only a chrono will give you a definite best fill pressure. 190 is absolute tops, but will run at lower power. It doesn't follow that higher fill pressure equates to higher power, more often than not quite the reverse.

I'd not bother filling past ~180bar, will only lower power untill the pressure drops (google precharged airrifle power-curve)

I fill my MPR's to 150bar if it helps??

as to maintanance, wipe over the metalwork (outside) with 3in1 oil or similar, get a crono & check power & consistancy - if all is well enjoy

gret guns, the design is still going now ~ 25+ years on with updates becoming the AA S400/S410/S400MPR/FT/S500/S510 etc.

of all the precharged airrifles I've had I've kept the S3/400 based ones (have a few, look in my sig)

180 is the fill pressure for the 300 series. I still have my s300 which is 25yrs old at least.
