What diopter set up did you go for on the 77?

80? Standard HW guide? (I know you quite like them, like me). Which spring Mark?
With the '77, I was able to purchase a Gamo diopter and I just fitted a standard HW frontsight onto the underlever catch and used a tunnel fitting. The '77 was V Mach tuned, so no need to play with that. The HW80, I used a 3mm section spring that came from Knibbs, with a 16mm id. I was able to set it up with a little more pre-load. I used an Eagle Vision guide set. It's the third set of their's I've used and I've been very impressed with the offering so far.

Sounds like you've been having fun too Mark. I love the idea of the diopter sight on the HW77

Our Craigy-P has a beautifully sorted 77 on diopter sights that he's posted pictures of in the past. Wonder if he spots this.

Yes, I'd guess that that would be a very pleasant experience indeed, Al.

I've often mulled over the idea of a '77, maybe short stroked a little, detuned to 6ft.lbs, nice match style stock.......

Or another route might just be a mildly fettled down '30S, again in a match style, heavier stock?
