I agree Tone, the number attending staggered me

It would twang and vibrate, don't think a guide and tophat would help much either

Some of you may have met my little Aisian mate, Paul, who runs the local corner shops, he's presently on a ventilator in the George Elliot hospital after contracting Covid19, and things aren't looking good for him.

Please take care you guys, this disease is real despite what any twat on the internet writes, and having my uncle die from Covid last Wednesday morning, it clearly can kill.

    Stay safe folks.

Sorry to hear this Mick. It is indeed a very real threat and someone I know sadly died from it around three weeks ago. Keep safe everyone

As well as the increased transmissability previously linked to the "UK variant" they're also getting more concerned with risk of increased mortality. Not looking good. Not good at all.

Can I politely remind people that this is already being discussed in non airgun, which is more appropriate.

Edit, I was referring to discussion relating to the vaccine.

    Thanks

    Dave

    My bad, Dave.

I just intended to give the sad news about Paul in order to stop folks getting complacent.

And as Dave points out there are many threads in NAG for those who wish to discuss Covid in greater detail.

    Shit happens, Chris.

My uncle was 89 and suffering with dementia, so I'm over it.

Paul is more of a shock and is now being pumped full of experimental drugs.

My bad too for getting a little "warm under the collar" about it.

I've been struggling to get my pass stamped of late for any plinkies; must put that right too.

Any of you chaps getting enough?

    Any tinkerings?

With my hands sticking to metal in my workshop I've about given up this morning, Tone, though I may go back out and see if I have any clean 3mm and 6mm plate to start making the cocking arm for the Dragon.

I'm only out there in case a passing brass monkey needs any brazing work.

Keep warm and cuddly, Mick. Shrinkage must be avoided!

Guessing the errant Diana's still on the naughty step?

Did you sort the stock for your little Dragon?

Yep, the Diana's still in bits while I decide which way to go with it, Tone.

The stocks for the Dragon arrived promptly from Protek and are unoiled so they're hanging in the man cave to avoid getting dirty fingerprints on them before oiling.

While the weather's like this I've decided to build the fire up next to my workbench and work on making the Dragon cocking arm which is a three piece construction using 3mm and 6mm plate.

    At top :-

The biggest problem was finding some 3mm plate, even though a lot of my work on boats requires 3mm plate I always use 4mm plate so I'm sure my work passes an ultrasound inspection.
Anyway I've found a good sized sheet of 3mm plate now, so I just need to print off the above to work out all the angles, the slot and pin positions can be worked out from the gun.
