My SLR 88 did that. Pellet loaded into an open tray, pellet probe seated the pellet into the barrel as the underlever closed, with the hollow probe spanning the loading tray.

Triggers are crap on all the rammers. Had them all. The rapids with the mk4 triggers are supposed to be great.

Trigger on my SLR88 was ok. Then again, it was the Imperator FT version, finished by hand by BT. This one, til I sold it....regrets.....

What a stunner. Aside from the hamster (personal preference) that is an absolute belter, I'd regret every day after selling that

Wasn't getting used - unless I knew the weather was absolutely fine I'd never take it out. Didn't need to sell it but couldn't just leave it in a cabinet like a trophy. Looks like it's gone to a good home now.

I wouldn't go as far as that. I have 3, a Fenman, Scirocco 2000 and an SLR98. The fenman has never been great but is crisp, some times a little too crisp, but the 2000 is better and the one on my 98 is very good. I have adjusted all 3 to my taste and fettled the fenman and 98 to make them better. None of them are a hindrance to accuracy which is the main thing really.

The trigger on my Fenman (later model) was very imprecise total pants.but the trigger on my very early Sirocco deluxe is way better and a pleasure to use.
