True, but what did a pre war BSA Underlever cost in terms of a weekly salary against a 70's Meteor?.
Being subjective, which is more accurate, powerful and consistent, I'd suggest it might be the Meteor?
A poor comparison?,a flagship and a much later pressed steel junior rifle.
Cadets maybe fairer.

The 70s Meteors and airsporters make me shudder. Silly to say this as it is the key to volume production, but they are just cheap, with that silly stock. Mind you, being cheap did not save BSA in the end.
