Well I've had a few TX's and a couple of 97's over the years.
I know I'm going to get shouted at but the 97's were rubbish (twangy and inaccurate) but the TX's were good, apart from the HC which was dire. Just my opinion! But a full length TX is a class act.

    I keep thinking about a tx mk1 or 2, in .22
I've got a mk1 in .177 it's an old thing but lovely to shoot. It needs a 22 twin!

I am fortunate enough to have numerous springers in my collection including various models of Air Arms, BSA, Diana, Feinwerkbau, Original, Walter, Webley and Weihrauch. The best shooting gun ‘out of the box’ in my opinion is the .22 Air Arms TX200 HC

Yes they are , More so a mk1, What was classed as a heavy gun once is sort of mid range now compared to what's about now, more so with the underlevers etc, I've never been without a hw80 for long over the years, Some of the mk1 had some nice pattern stocks to. And it's about as basic gun as you can get,

Good call, i have a full length in 177, mine has been tuned by Paul Short & has the titanium piston, nice rifle.

Just got another 22 myself, not had one for quite a while, i went for an 80k. I have now put a titanium piston in that.
