I've just read all this and while it's not quite resolved there's enough of the guys details still up there that probably don't need to be.
I know what it's like to be mugged off. Got stung for a Steyr of all things many years ago; that chaffed!

Tread carefully,you could unintentionally turn a civil matter into a criminal one.
An online small claims action would be more constructive.
If you've paid by cheque and have the correct details for the seller.
Obviously we don't know the amount you're looking to recover.
But an online claim for £301-£500 will currently cost £35 in court fees.

Up to £300, a mere £25,if the seller receives notice but doesn't respond the court will just rule in your favour.
So the pistol seller will at least have a court ruling,or CCJ against them.

Nothing. Phone rings out and I leave a message, in fact I've left a few but I'm always polite and never rude. Send a text also so I can use as evidence at the lack of engagement from this low life and to show the lack of response . Mach 1.5
