Could this be a first for the hw95 ?

A friend at my local club recently asked me to do a tune on his 95 he only shoot's standing and as such likes the lightweight of the 95 , it's a keeper and he requested " as good as I could get it ", So a challenge . I have done a few Hw 80's with a 24 mm reduced cylinder tune , this last year , so a measure up, a deep breath , and I managed to massage the tune a bit to make it fit and bobs your uncle , a lightweight low recoil easy to cock break barrel, It's turned out rather nice , would make a superb hunting tool.
I think this might be a first for the 95 .

nice mate... 1mm wall is fine for a man with your maching accuracy, and I guess the stroke stays "as is" ?
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Pretty much John it lends itself well to the 24 mm treatment , tried machining a 25 mm hw seal down but had no luck, can't guarantee a size , so went o ring again, it's got a tad more stroke than the 80 so a little softer cycle, nice tune all round.
Could probably push to 23 mm with a bespoke piston, but as I found bin my 80 can get a bit fast ,and that's not to everyone's taste

It's a version of the anti bounce Idea I spoke to you about, got some more testing to do , then I will put a post up .

anti bounce is defo an area to research. it just has to hold/delay the bounce, as the airflow is so great, even a 1ms delay will have a big effect on power output/bounce reduction.

I've sketched a TP one way valve arrangement out a few times, but it's (too) tricky to make

I have two prototypes , posh word for lash up 😉, one is a hollow head "dead blow" hammer style , with either a spring loaded weight or lead shot, that's not been vin a gun yet. The second is based on a meteor piston head design , and uses the theory that that a lip seal expands at the bounce point causing a braking effect, this one appears to
Work , details a bit long for this post , will put some pics on .
