Have you shot them and found it makes a difference?
Have you shot them and found it makes a difference?
Good deals with: Muskett, Dreben, roger.kerry, TALL, Helidave1, Chelseablue, Leeroy7031, Mousemann, pnuk, Practical, NEWFI, HOOGS, Webb22, lazybones1416 and deanw5262 among others. Thanks Guys.
Why not group them together in terms of OAL's and shoot them in series, see what differences in makes on the target. I suspect there will be far more random effects from other component tolerances and environmental impacts on the day you shoot. I've found differences in BTO with Hornady AMAX in the region of 10 thou between batches, didn't seem to make much difference on the target, even at 800 yards. Similarly with Berger and Sierra projectiles.
If your measuring COAL to the tip of the bullet the measurements will be all over the place. I’ve had as much as 10 thou variance in a box of premium match bullets. But the ogive measurements were all spot on.
If you use a comparator you’ll see that variation reduce to less than .002”.
Cheers
Greg
