    Makarov valuation thread

    Hi folks
Contemplating whether or not to sell the following gun and wondered what the likely value is?
It's an early Makarov I believe with a T99 serial no.
It's in pretty good condition and all original bar a new hidden gas capsule screw, the original screw is there as well, but it doesn't have it's original ring.
It does however have its original card box, tools, manual, wrapping paper and a couple of sets of seals.

    Pictures here:

What sort of value would this have please?

I bought a T99 in its original Baikal branded case along with accessories last year for £130 from a shop if that helps. Earlier this year, I bought a T00 cased with accessories for the same price from another shop.

Wasn't the t99 you bought leaking?
I would say in that condition with box £150-£180 easily, also list on gunstar/guntrader for a wider market, it will sell.

It came with a spare set of seals, so remedied within 30 minutes of arrival.

I've bought and sold a few of these.

£100 for gun alone in average condition

But for examples like this Ive got £150

Never really liked them, but I recently bought a shiny one which reminded me they are pretty good.

The cut out for the ejector port was a feature of early 99 dated Maks. It was gone by December 1999 and then reappeared in 2012 with the introduction of the PM frame.

The 2019 dated Maks currently sold by Crawley Surplus and RusMilitary also have this feature, so it appears to have returned once again.

Must admit, if I were selling this, I'd probably price it at £180 minimum and expect it to sell.

In fairness, I think I was exceptionally fortunate to pick up two cased early Maks at £130 each over the space of a year.

My instant gut reaction to the first post was £150. Reading the thread, J may be right that it’s worth a touch more.

    Hi Baz,

I obtained mine from Russia via t'bay. They are relatively cheap and some dealers throw a pack in with their compliments when you buy spares from them.
