Daisy 717 - no O-ring in bolt

The bolt looks like original equipment so I would leave it as it is.

That's what I was thinking as well.
Too much risk for little benefit.

has the old o ring flattened so much that it has filled the groove and just looks not to be there

That was my first reaction too, but it really is just one piece of plastic. No o-ring at all.

For now, I will leave it as it is and enjoy shooting it this way.
