    Webley Hawk MkII Safety latch?

    Hey there everyone,

hoping some of you might be able to shed some light on this for me. Got a Webley Hawk MkII from my Father, shot it many times when i was a child growing up and still in use now.
My Dad used to tinker with all the Air rifles he owned and still does with the few he has left.
On this rifle that he stripped down, cleaned etc... He never put the safety catch back on it?

I recently visited him and he gave me the safety catch for the rifle and said he does not know if there is a spring missing or not as it has been so very long since he removed it.
Are there any plans, parts lists etc... that anyone knows of which might let me know if it needs a spring or not and if i fit it will it still work i wonder?

Any help would be greatly received.

If you want to fit one , have a read at "the idiots guide" at the top of the papge. There is an idex as well.
The correct spring if you want to fit the safety is the same as the one for the Hawk mk3 https://www.gunspares.co.uk/products/24527/Hawk-MK3/ part no CS130. However the safety was never great and you are better leaving it off and using
https://www.gunspares.co.uk/products/24554/Victor/ CS 131 from the Victor, which is tensioned by the straight leg going under the trigger pin.

Thank you very much for the references, must admit, never had a safety on it since i was about 5 or 6, so used to not having it there. Was going to have a go at seeing it whole again.

    Thanks again
