    Leaking Webley FX2000, help please...

    Evening all,
A mate has a Webley FX2000, it appears to have a major leak on/around/near the pressure gauge.
The cylinder is, of course, empty.
Is it a difficult, costly fix? Can it be DIY?
    Cost?
    Any other advice gratefully received.
    Thank you.
    Cliff.

They can be a easy fix but mine was a nightmare to get right mate it ended going in for a fix I cant remember where I sent it now?? but turned out it wasn't any of the o rings I had replaced twice!! but the small seating face the valve sits on good guns when they go right

Hi Den, I've not been on here for a long while, a few bouts of ill health unfortunately.
T4BT has been wrapped up for some time, very few of our troops in horrible places now so no call for goodies parcels.
Nice to hear from you too.

A number of seals around the pressure gauge, also a spacer in there. Not a difficult gun to work on, if you do a full seal change make sure the transfer port adjuster screw is out, else there is a risk of damaging the cylinder.

    O ring replacement

If you have a set of Allen keys and a slight amount of know how, watch YouTube videos and the process will be easy. I did mine, took about an hour, all fixed now. It is a nice easy gun to work on though.
Buy an o ring set from chambers or Kirkwood and Bagnall.
    Good luck

i believe it is basically the same gun as the excalibur , mate they are the easiest gun to work on ,like someone says make sure the air flow grub screw (an check for any others) are out so they dont damage the cylinder, i think there is only that one. as you have the gauge on, an the excalibur does not. (only mine cus i put one on lol.) so all you will need is a few allen keys .seal kit , bit of grease, an a broom handle (plastic or wood )

If buying seals I believe the gauge ones are sold separate.

I would not recommend this as its very unlikely to work or if it did would only work for very short time but if you do make sure you only use silicone oil
best fix is a full seal kit very easy to fit just take you time take pictures as you strip it like some have said make sure the transfer port adjuster screw is out
