1980s (?) OPTIMA scope for sale.

2-7 x 32 very good condition with a few little marks on the p/x adjusting ring and turret cap (see photos) . Lenses are good. It has no crimping or mount marks. Zoom and p/x collars work as they should. 30/30 reticule (not much choice in those days. )

Would look good on a vintage rifle - HW35, FWB Sport etc.

    £80 posted. NOW SOLD.

I have one on my FWB Sport and they go together perfectly. These don't come up very often.

Personally I think its a rip off copy of the iconic Tasco 2-7x32AG. Manufacturer? Country of manufacture?

I don't think it is a fair comment to suggest it is a 'rip off'.

Tasco were not a manufacturer, they were a US based distributor of products which had been branded for them, much as Optima were in this country.

So this scope would have been made by a manufacturer in Japan, probably Hakko and badged up for whoever ordered them.
People who have been there focus on the fundamentals. People who sit at keyboards all day focus on the trivial and inane.

Around the time this scope was made it was imported into this country by Target Sports of Bolton who bought the Optima brand.
