    Bsa airsporter s

Can anyone give me a rough valuation on this air sporter
The condition is OK and fires fine
    Front sight missing
    Its. 22
A family member wants to sell it but I have no idea on the worth.

Depends what you call by ok condition. I sold one on here for about £100 recently for a rough one, you need pictures to get a better idea of value.

It will also depend on the age/type/mk of airsporter. If you post the serial number that would help identify it. Even better get some photos on an image sharing website and post links to those images.

As above ... it is all so subjective and depends on condition. Being an S adds something but the lack of a sight detracts from price. Any idea how well it shoots? This may not be a deciding factor but knowing that it runs at maybe 10 is a good sales point. At auctions I have seen ordinary i.e. non-S Airsporters go for anything from £60 - £150 or more plus commission at about 25%. But rough looking ones, marked stock, a few scratches, maybe bluing rubbed off, trigger block with blacking chipped etc are at the low end.

hi,if its only the front sight missing it may be in your relatives interest to fit one to sell as complete, they are fairly cheap and readily available, unlike the rear sights.

It's not there on an S, on an S the serial number is on the left hand side of the barrel just forward of the breech.

The rear sights are hardly hens teeth, the metal body unit was used extensively on later models.
