    CZ/S200 ceases production?

Ive read various reports that CZ are no longer producing the 200 and have no plans to do so in the future.
Anyone have any information about this?

Just had a look at their new catalogue, no mention of air rifles at all, so this could be right unfortunately

Ive a feeling they might have better things to do than answer questions over Internet rumours, hence asking here

Was sorely tempted by a new one in 2002.

There in lays CZ's problem with making it, no doubt. That was eighteen years ago and the PCP buyers have moved on.

True, gunsnlandies, but the Rifle is still in a class of it's own with accuracy that will match just about anything you can think of. Crying shame that AA never put a larger cylinder on it and added a Reg - would be a game changer. Hand on heart I would sell my Wildcat tomorrow and buy just such a gun.

The standard and target versions are still listed on Air Arms website, just looks like CZ don't sell their own branded ones anymore but still supply AirArms with them.

But AA had no reason to spend money on something they bought in, when they already had their models to sell. Not only that, I'm sure the accountants at CZ couldn't see the value in such an exercise neither. It doesn't matter how good something is if doesn't sell enough to justify its place in production.
As I see it, there is an awful lot of nostalgia spoken about the S200 by people who no longer own one.

Go on I’ll bite. Name one BSA at the same price point that will match the S200 for quality, accuracy and reliability?

My missus has an Ultra and loves it, had an S200
The S200 is too long for its weight so more difficult to hold steady, lovely off a bench. At least the Ultra with heavy mod and scope can just make enough weight for stability shooting off hand
Looking for TO-6 Trigger unit unmessed with or T0-6 kit for 34

Ultra better than S200, and there was me thinking you were being serious...

How many threads do you see about ‘sent my ultra off for fettling’ vs ‘sent my S200 off’? And then there is the ‘got my ultra back and it is still not right, should I send it to xxxxx ?’

Same goes for the r10 and I loved my r10...

I had an early s200. It was extremely accurate barrel wise but the rest wasn’t ideal for Ft so I moved it on. Wish I’d kept it for the barrel.

All the bsa barrels I’ve shot have been sub par.
