    Firmly in the rust and ding removal camp, what's to like with preserving someone else's carelessness?

    Having said that the wood on the gun was sympathetically treated so as to preserve the 3 propped up guns near the butt without sanding deep enough to remove the odd ding in the vicinity.

    You should be proud mate the gun looks a peach and yes if the gun had been in perfect health you would not touch it but this gun should see another 100 years now with good looking after , nothing wrong with a refurb

    Looks great to me, but it depends on what state it was before. Sometimes it is more about what a gun deserves than what collectors think.
