Before you take a trigger off, take pictures of what it looks like assembled.
The best modern pellets are made better than the best old ones.
A small scope will do the same job as a big one if you shoot in daylight.
24X mag only works if you can rest a gun. Resting guns doesn't work with springers.

The lesson i learnt at an early age is the same for all my life and thing , look after your tools and your tools will look after you , as a carpenter and joiner my tools never go away wet or dirty they are cleaned and put away , if i did a dirty job at the end of the day the tools got a wipe over with wd40 and put away if i chipped a chisel on a nail head or screwhead the chisel was put out ready to be sharpened when i got home , the same is true of my guns if i get home i wipe them over put the socks on them then in to the cabinet where there is a moisture trap and the guns will stay clean and tidy as are my tools .
The lesson is tools are only as good as the person using them and if a tool is dirty and uncared for you will get bad results

What do you mean resting guns does not work with springers , hmm this was talked about and someone did a great show and tell with a bi pod on a springer , as a kid i use to always rest on a tree branch or a gate when shooting in and around the farm , and if i am blowing my own trumpet here i was a bloody good shot back then far better than i am now , eyes i guess but you sure can shot a springer rested on a shooting stick to

With one exception, old Eley Wasps were the dog dangles.

    Never sell a good scope!

I have sold and bought the same model of scope a couple of times, at a combined hearty loss, just because they were on the shelf when I needed some dollar!
