How's about looking for an optima gamekeeper whilst you are at it
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

    Love a 4x32.

If you want to go vintage look out for unfashionable makes outside of the usual Tasco, Optima, Kassnar. I got myself a completely unused, boxed Rhino 4x32 in gloss, japanese made for just over £30. As pictured on my HW97/77 .22. For practical purposes I swapped it over to a Hawke Vantage 4x32 - which is a fantastic scope. It served me well on my recent Welsh hunting trip. Very clear. Very simple.

    4 x 32

The vixen would be a rebadged bushmaster / venom scope but with the circule ret like on the 6 X 40. Simmons did the WTC 4 X 32 but again rare. Meopta still service there scopes but beware, my old one was out of there 30 year warranty so cost £140 to be serviced. Note that weihrauch do a lovely 4 x 32 pa / target turrets and mil dot 4 x 32 but you need your dealer to order one from HC. Been after one for awhile. Mach 1.5

I will be keeping my eyes peeled in the sales section......
Nick, take a look at the Nikko Stirling 1-4x24 Diamond. I've often drooled over one on the Uttings site and would love to give one a go. Looks like they're on offer at the moment, too......If only I could afford.....

I have some AR scopes along those lines, very nice but being a 30mm tube still quite bulky and not that light.
