I've been a member of this forum, no scratch that, COMMUNITY, for a few years now, and whilst I don't post often, I can honestly say that due to the way it is run by the moderators, I can be pretty sure that any sales or purchases I make can be done in good faith, and I'm always sure that I can trust the person that I'm dealing with. My contributions might not be much, in fact they're pretty awful at best, but I'm here everyday knowing that people who are only here to scam others are incredibly few and far between; the mods do an amazing job, and I don't think that they sometimes get the credit they deserve. Anybody who takes offence to the way they go about what they do is, in my opinion, not really someone that I would want on here.

The admin team are here to uphold the forum owner's wishes, keep the place tidy and help forum members with any problems they have --- we try to do this without favouritism.

When a member who Dave and myself class as a good friend, posts on open forum "feel free to ban me", then there can only ever be one outcome to that --- he gets banned.
As far as I'm concerned there was no power craze involved, but I feel it was a truly shitty position for a friend to put Dave in.
I had expected an apology a long time ago which would have lifted the ban, but unfortunately none was ever forthcoming.

As far as messaging 44000 odd members to remind them of the rules goes, I think this thread is the simpler option.

    All the best Mick
I had no idea the members list was so big wow and imagine how long that would take to pm each one --if it wasn't for the mods img how much bickering would go on--I bet some think that is a thankfulness task but its not its well appreciated by most sometimes we all need a guiding hand to stay on the line THANK YOU'S

Another vote of tremendous thanks for the moderators on here. In agreement with sentiments expressed above, I am sure that without the efforts of the mods this forum would not be the fine forum it is. I well remember reading posts on the forum for quite some time before taking the plunge and joining so that I could tender my opinions on all things airgun. The forum is now one of my key 'go to' pages so as to keep up with news and views as well as searching for information, or a 'must have' as well as selling the odd item or two. I have looked at other fora but somehow they are not a patch on the BBS and I regard many of the key contributors here as friends, even though we have, mostly, never met. Life is so much nicer because of the forum and all credit must go to the mods for enabling it to be so.
    Cheers, Phil

I’ve seen the mods sort out many tricky situations that would have been unfavorable to air Gun shooting in all sorts of ways
Much appreciated volunteers and not always appreciated or thought of until wanted for some help

What's the cause of your loss of balance, Mick ?

Mine is due to spinal problems.

I was diagnosed with Labyrinthitus after collapsing on August bank holiday 2017.

    Bit of a bugger.

Well it used to be "Dave the frame"... Then "Unframed Dave"... Perhaps another rename to 'ADHD Dave' might make some people think twice before gobbing off .

PS you're doin' alright Dave - I wouldn't want the job!

Sorry to hear that, Mick; must be on the very severe scale if you've had it that long.

    Yes, TS.

After I collapsed it was two days before I felt well enough to go to Hospital.

Although things must be so, so difficult for you, Mick, I'm not convinced. And I understand that this condition can, indeed, persist for a very long time. Hopefully your time to return to full fitness is just around the corner, but you must get to see a good specialist, okay?

Fingers crossed for you, my friend.

Couldn't agree more Phil, I've not even bothered looking at other forums as when I've asked for help, everyone has, well, been so helpful

I've seen a top specialist, Tone.

I walk into his office, he has me walk on the spot with my arms stretched out in front of me, then he has me close my eyes and I fall over, then he tells me I'm not very well.

Two days later I get a bill off BUPA for £125 for this 5 minute expert examination for a condition there's no known treatment for.
