    Which Pard?

    Hi Chaps

Please could someone enlighten me as to which version of the Pard NV007 I need: evidently they come in 12mm & 16mm but I can’t seem to find why ...

    Thanks in anticipation

This is a 12mm lens model and gives less reticule magnification and a very slightly wider field of view than the standard 16mm model, the magnification of the scope rear optic is reduced. This is preferred by some for airgun and rimfire use at closer ranges or a smaller more natural reticule is required.

This came from Blackwood's outdoor who sell them .

Thank you so much. This is the one I need then for close range ratting.

    Best regards

It is to do with field of view.
12 mm is better for 0-100 yds.
16mm is better for longer distance.
I have 12mm on my air rifle.
    Repariere nicht, was nicht kaputtist.

Funny enough my mate just bought one and went for the 12mm, He done some homework and all recommend the 12mm.

I am looking to buy a pard, probably the 007
Does it work fine down to 10-15 yards?

It relies on the scope for focus, so if the scope does, the 007 will.

At such a close range less magnification is better.
I can turn my scope down to 2.5x which is what I use at close range.

Look at the serial number if it has uk in it then it is official importer. If not then it is with who you bought it from and the official importer will not repair it. That applies to new pards only. Older ones if purchased from a uk shop have a different system but may be covered by the uk supplier. Sportsman gun centre are the official importers.

The old UK Pard in either mm lens are now £334. Plenty about.
The new S model only has a RRP, so might not be the price stated. It is 16mm shorter and has an easier focus to crosshair. All will be revealed once on the shelves. Watch this space.
