ringing daystate may be an option if your gun shop fails to solve the issue. it may take a little longer to sort out than normal because of the situation we are all in im afraid. just buying one and sending the seller the bill well doubt that would do anything bar cause grief all round !. good luck and ATB with your issue ..

new ones box was opem and no mag or filler probe so was given them separate --- when I got home and tried it it was pants --had to wait till Monday to contact shop was told he could not help he had not got one wait till after x mas and he would sort it
Brocock shut down on the 24th and reopen on the 4th jan. Bar breaking into their factory and stealing a mag he will have to wait until the new year to get the items you require. Not really sure what else he can do. sounds like he has done what he can for you but can't magic a magazine etc from thin air.

    load of codswallop

the shop has bought a mag from a different shop and offerd it to me ---
bad point is I went to solware to purchase a mag myself --all the mags they had was faulty and was told they would be sent back
but they sold one to the original shop it was given to me as the only thing he could do
I am now going to deal with brocock direct via email --have sent explanation to them
lets see what result I get from there
but I will never go to CITY AIR WEPONS ever again
and would not recommend anyone to go there

    Why codswallop?
You bought a gun that didn't work and it was exchanged. You accepted an open box item. You then found that the magazine didn't work and even another store entirely suggested that there was an issue with the mags. Your original vendor, when informed, told you that he couldn't get a replacement immediately. It's Xmas, New Year and Covid-19.

    What exactly were you expecting?

Have bought guns .25 FAC rifles from both Bob in Brum and the guy in Lincoln (before I knew better)

Brum City Air Weapons is excellent and highly recommended.

Lincoln City Air Weapons is a total disaster and would advise no one ever shops there under any circumstances.

I had a chat with Bob last week and asked him if there were any links between Brum and Lincoln...he said none whatsoever.

I would have thought you would need a second mag anyway! Buy one and you will probably be up and shooting in a couple of days..

Mate I feel for you having a rifle U/S sucks. As others have said your contract is with the dealer and not Brocock/ Daystate. Please remember that if he has to send it back that Brocock closed for Christmas and CV19 is running riot at the moment. There is no point phoning the factory as they will not talk to you as you are not a dealer, after all you would no phone Ford if the car went tits up would you. However you could drop DS/Brocock an email if you believe that the dealer is messing you around but when to do it is key you have to give the seller time to rectify that fault by either repairing it him self or sending it back to the factory.
I have found a lot of dealers will use their in house gun Smith to try and repair the gun which is a can of worms as Daystate/Brocock offer dealers a course on how to fix their guns and a lot of dealers turn the offer down as they do not want to be stuck repairing guns. The other thing about in house gun smiths sorry supposed gun smiths is that the majority of them have had zero professional training and are just people that are s of taught. I learned that lesson the hard way however the small claims court zapped the dealer and like a prat he refused to pay up which sadly trashed his credit rating made worse when I sent bailiffs in.

So what to do if I was in your shoes I would contact the dealer again and try to agree a time line for the repair keeping in mind CV19. If he fails to play ball then email Daystate/Brocock telling them you are being messed about if that fails have one more go at talking to him and if fails go to citizens advice or just CCJ him.

Far to many dealers are trying to stiff customers and we as buyers should fight back. I wish you luck with it. If it helps they are great guns to shoot and once sorted you will enjoy it.

    City air weapons brum

Hi ok here's my experience i bought a Kozak from there never been there before it developed a fault he swopped for a new rifle no problem this turned out to be over powered went back he swopped it again but also offered me a full refund to cut a long story short the exchanged rifle was also over powered. I took it back with me present we tried all his remaining stock of this rifle all over powered he gave me a refund on the spot. None of this was his fault he also tried to get me another but it took to long not his fault these things happen. ive used him since bought a carbon fibre cylinder off him he's not my local gun shop but his price was £50.00 cheaper than most bobs a bit of a character but was always helpful i would use him again no problem.

    Words fail me.

At least words which I can use on this forum.

Slightest hint of the possibility of selling illegal fire-arms from my shop would have me putting the closed sign on the door and testing my entire stock. Everything.

As I said up-thread we used to check everything we sold against its specification. And we weren't up for jail time if we missed something.

Look on the brightside, imagine if you had to deal with those issues with the guy at the Lincoln outfit.

Your contract is with the shop, not Brocock

And I think Brocock was taken over by Daystate in 2016?
