    MPL 2021 Spring/Summer Postal Competition.

We have another new MPL "shoot from home" 6 yard postal competition to look forward to, and it starts 1st January and will run until 30th June 2021.

The Covid 19 lockdown has helped some of us appreciate just how helpful a "shoot from home" competition can be, and for some of us that are still "shielding" this is an opportunity to continue to enjoy our target shopping hobby from home.

For those who do not have a local club within travelling distance, or who enjoy practicing at home, the MPL is a great way to shoot some targets to see how things are going and perhaps even compare which airgun gives the best score. (you can enter each competition as many times as you like - maybe with a different airgun each time? ).

We have a pistol and a rifle competition for you to enter with your .177 spring powered or SSP airgun, and we are also trying to promote the "new to the UK" sport of Supported Shooting, and this competition is open to all types of .177 air pistol and air rifle - including PCP and CO2 powered types.

In addition, we also have a competitions for spring powered "sporting" air rifles for those that enjoy their shooting with a scope, but this competition is to be shot at the longer distance of 10 metres so it may take you out onto the garden if you cannot find a clear 10 meters space to shoot indoors.

And we also have the recent addition of a new 6yard competition for PCP Air Pistol shooters to enter.

AIR RIFLE (Spring & SSP only)

AIR PISTOL (Spring & SSP only)

AIR PISTOL (PCP and CO2 only).

    SUPPORTED AIR RIFLE (Any power-plant)

    SUPPORTED AIR PISTOL (Any power-plant)

10 meter AIR RIFLE WITH SCOPE. (Spring powered ONLY - no recoilless air rifles).

Details of Supported Shooting can be found here :-

Details of 10 meter Air Rifle with Scope can be found here:-

    ENTRY FEE.

This remains unchanged at £10 per entry and this includes the cost of your 36 targets and the postage to send them to you!

You can enter as many of the competitions as you like (ie Air Rifle and Air Pistol etc) - each one has the same £10 entry fee.

If you enter more than one category we will send all of your competition packs to you in the same package.

Please send your entry DETAILS (with your name and address) to Russ (PhatMan) here on the BBS, either by PM, or by sending an email to bat540308@btopenworld.com.

(Your details are needed so your entry packs can be delivered to the correct address and to make sure you are entered into the correct event and sent the right type of targets).

Please send your entry PAYMENT to Bob (Zooma), using any of the methods described below.

    1) PayPal : Please use this address:- target@rossmod.co.uk. PayPal payments made as "friends and family" do not attract charges - please use this option or add the cost of any charges to your payment.

We use Air 8 targets for our air pistol competitions and Air 7 targets for all of our air rifle competitions (including the 10 meter rifle with scope series!), and these can be bought direct from the NSRA. They can also be bought bulk packs of 3000 for those that intend to practice a lot and want to buy them at the lowest price!!!

Unfortunately the option to collect your entry packs from the Rossendale Club is not currently available due to the club range being currently unavailable to us.
