I made my own moisture trap out of a clear plastic bottle, of about a litre, filled with dessicant beads. Thin sheet of filter foam above and below the beads, holes drilled around the base for air to enter, tube out of the top to the pump inlet.
I used the type of beads that change colour as it absorbs the moisture so you know when they need drying.
The comercially available traps all seemed to small to me.

My hills mk 3 pump works well but i am seeking advice on whether replacing the dry pac content with some other brand medium impact the filling dynamics of my pcp.i have local brand offering coloured dessicant beads which change colour once moisturized. These can be restored again after microwaving them. This works out to be cheaper than the so called dry pac refill which hills offers. So can i replace the hills dry pac content with this content in toto and see how the pump works?just seeking advice..TIA
