    35 gr vmax

    i would like to try a few 35 gr vmax in my hornet, i bought a box of hornady factory 35 gr vmax a few weeks ago and was quite impressed, so as anyone got a few heads to sell me please, thanks ray

    Hi Ray.

    I started with these. Good out to 150 yards. Poor BC, get blown about and fiddly to reload.

    I'd personally recommend 40gr V-Max or Nosler over these, but if short range stuff is all you need them for and you're patient when reloading (or have a die to flare the case mouth) you'll be fine.

    Like this member says they great and if loaded right fast and flat --also as said be careful when seating them you can crush the hornet case easy as they have a flat bottom --I use 10grn of "ramshot enforcer" powder and seat them to approx. 43.5 mm "but each chamber will be different" use extreme caution whilst reloading what others do --- I cant use the 40grn v-max as they are to long for the magazine on my gun
