    Tasco 2-7×32 AGFM would be great if you can find one. Can be kept on low mounts to suit the low comb of the 77 stock.

    Optima or Tasco would compliment that rifle nicely lots of tlc and a service be good as new even better if you got a re blue

    If you're going to use it for target or HFT work then a classic Tasco TR 4-16 is the top choice imo. Fantastic Japanese made scope and optics.
    video transferred to DVD, USB etc. Old negs and photos scanned to digital media

    Ah, the Tasco is exactly what is on my 77 Vantage.. Bought from that very fine FT fellow, Graham Henderson, back in 1987/88.

    By 1989 I seem to remember that the Simmons scopes were coming more into favour?

    It will be used for informal target shooting so that might be a bit excessive. A Tasco would be nice though.

    A quick check and Simmons didn't hit the UK market until the early 90's. As mentioned the HW scopes from the 80's are nice. Kassnar were still going and also look for the Apollo brand scopes. There 4 star and 5 star ones were made by hakko. Top glass. Mach 1.5
