Diana Mod 2 / G2 valuation help please

Hi, friends father in law passed away and they have asked me to sort this.
The box while nice to have is v tatty and there are a couple of small rust spots / pitting mainly on the left side of the barrel, the date under the handle is really hard to make out, I would guess 4 55.
Is it anything special or just a sixty quid vintage air pistol ? anything else I need to check before creating a for sale post ? it cocks and fires no problem.

Hi I have one of these myself but with no box and not in as good a condition. I have never seen one with the box so might be quite rare I couldn't say a price and be fair to you .But fingers crossed might get a good offer from a collector on here once put up for sale .I paid 40 pounds for mine good luck Craig

The pistol is probably worth £40-£50 but the box might be rare so could be worth something.

I’m sure some experts will be along shortly to let us know.

l would say about £50-60 + with the box which is quite rare, pity someone has shot a pellet through it.

You have done the impossible, you have actually shown a push in barrel pistol I like the look of. Never thought that would happen LOL
