    Ultishot pcp, Trapmaster CO2: shotguns

    Hi,

I recently acquired a Crosman 1100 Trapmaster CO2 shotgun. It's a lot of fun. I will do some testing with it, and with an Ultishot shotgun pcp that I picked up from a friend yesterday. He is kindly lending it to me.

Any other Trapmaster / Ultishot owners on here?
It would be great to find out more about the Ultishot's history. Very little is known.

    Cheers, Louis

These Ultishot shells look like Trapmaster shells, but they are thinner and longer.
I re-use the empty shells endlessly. I use 1/8th of a toilet paper on both sides of the shot load as "wads".

    Nicely done Louis

One of those looks like a crafted piece of workmanship the other looks like a plumber knocked something up in his lunch break

Keep your eye open for some original shells for the trapmaster as they do show up occasionally.

    Hi,
I agree, the Ultishot isn't the prettiest creation. But it is quirky and I like that.
I wonder if the parts below the breech are Titan or Falcon. I once told John Bowkett about the Ultishot and he hadn't heard about it before.
So I guess Falcon. The Ultishot was sold in 1996, so the question that I should be asking is: was Titan still selling airguns in 1996, or had Falcon appeared on stage?

The Trapmaster - it is super. Every shot puts a big smile on my face.
I will shoot it outdoors tomorrow, but I have done quite a bit of testing in my gunroom.
I suspected that my chrony was struggling with the shot.
    Using 5 Gamo 8.1 gr lead bb's, I was getting about 750 ft/s. That would mean about 45 ft/lbs.
With the .375" H&N round balls (79 gr), I am getting about 345 ft/s. About 22 ft/lbs. That sounds more plausible.
Has anyone else experienced that chrony'ing shot is difficult?
