Walther RM8 service

Can anyone tell me how often I should be servicing my Walther RM8? Just picked a second hand one up and Im led to believe it was done last year but can’t be sure

Also is this something I could do myself? I’m a mechanical engineer by trade so pretty handy

Apart from a clean with a slightly oily rag, a real good one if I got soaked and a general inspection of moving parts and gaps every now and again, mine get serviced when they leak and that's it. I don't clean the barrels either.
