Today's rummage results. AKA, what's this?

    I love Monday's me!

Herr Frenchy doesn't have the knack for reloading, and most Mondays find me at the range, head down in the empties bin with my feet kicking in the air. Today was no different

I currently only reload 9mm and any .223/5.56 cases go to my friend Jon. However, Mrs Bum has been voicing a need for something with more oomph than her .22lr so the 61 cases I got today will stay. Just in case she relents and buys an AR15.....

The big cases on the end are new though. They are rimmed and stamped 71 / 73 and are about 8.6mm across the neck.

Can someone please tell me what these are for as I have enough cases (48) to justify getting the matching gun on the off chance a rat strolls into the garden one day.

Other than that there was a .308 and a couple of 31 / 75's (?) and one more 7.65 Browning to add to my slowly growing collection, ready for the day I get a PPK

You need to look at the other end, in the case, does it have one or two flash holes?

Measuring across the neck is OK but also measure the length of the case.
Good deals with: Muskett, Dreben, roger.kerry, TALL, Helidave1, Chelseablue, Leeroy7031, Mousemann, pnuk, Practical, NEWFI, HOOGS, Webb22, lazybones1416 and deanw5262 among others. Thanks Guys.

That's definitely 7.62x54 russian , forthe mosin nagant rifle and medium machine guns. Its a copper plated steel case, berdan, corrosive primed. Not worth reloading, even if you could find the primers.

The "R" in 7.62x54R stands for rimmed. You will notice it has a rim at the base.
