Elbow Pads

Old age catching up. Developed a bursa on my left elbow (bursitis). Fluid build up . Doc says will slowly dissipate of of its own accord if it is not associated with arthritis.

So looking for Elbow Pads (we will get back to shooting this year).
Prefer a slip on type without a hard outer shell which can be put on under or over clothing.
Do not like the old faithful NSRA type pads with crossover straps.

Workwear PPE elbow pads have been suggested as good for the job & not expensive.
Would welcome suggestions & advice.

Hi,
Know where you coming from, I use knee pads from decathalon, a bit more comfortable than elbow pads as not as tight when the arms bent in a firing position.

I just use Tubegrip bandage doubled over a couple of times.

You have highlighted the problem with elbow pads. They are usually quite tight & actually restrict elbow movement.
Which of the Decathlon products would you recommend.

Try taking turmeric capsules , i've had bursitis in my hip & cured it with turmeric, it's a powerful natural anti-inflamatory.

I got mine 2 years back, there own brand for skate boarding, as I do alot of target shooting and on my elbows for a long time.
Tried all sorts over the years, tubigrip, elbow pads, doubled over army socks, nice and easy as thay don't restrict the blood flow, and best try them in the shop wearing what you would when you go shooting then go a size up, as I find decathalon sizes are smaller than UK sizes, so if you think you need a medium, buy a large for comfort

Rolson do gel knee pads. Gel is very good. If you find the shells you could use silicon to make your own. Its messy stuff to work with though
