    Britannia 2021 update

He's pretty much done it, amazing work. wish I had these kind of skills.

He's made a simple but effective wood grip

The trigger and sear arrangement is similar to the original and only has the full power cocking position, quite rightly.

    [IMG][/IMG]

He's come up with a simple but ingenious way to adjust sear engagement, by way of a sprung steel plate that can be slid up and down, which can move the sear up and down.

The sights are elegantly done, with the rearsight adjustable and with a nice wide element.

The gasram is held in with a substantial plug, and can be tensioned via a bolt for power adjustment.

So it all works, he said ''The Britannia is a real marvel, I feel no shock during shooting..and the centre of gravity is spot on''.

Accuracy at 10 yards looks promising, as does the power, although his chrono isn't working at the moment.

He sent a video of it being shot and I have to say it sounds very slick. He is in the process of a bit of fine tuning and is blueing it.
He has agreed to record some good quality video footage and I offered to edit it together and post it on youtube as this is something that should really be celebrated.

I've sent him links to the wonderfull pistol patent repro's that ccdjg made and he thinks they are fantastic and didn't know anyone else did this sort of thing.

If i'm ever in northern Europe I'll have to pop in and have a go!
    I'll keep you posted,

    Matt

Perhaps you could send him info on the Jongman Zealandia Matt?
He may be interested to pursue that design/creation?
I have sent you a poor video and an image of the mk2+
