Thanks for hosting the pics Mark, and thanks to everyone for the kind comments.

Does anyone know how many of these were made?, just out of interest.

In my view this model is the pinnacle of spring piston air rifles and the most exquisite air rifle ever made - Pure Class.

You are a very lucky man and I am very jealous.

I would be very interested if it ever came up for sale...

That is a beautiful example of a Running Boar Mod300S.

If I didn't already have a Running Boar version myself (albeit an earlier version with the fixed cheekpiece, non-thumbhole type stock) I would be insanely envious.

I think we need an air gun picture porn gallery, at least that way you can look at your peril or avoid and be happy in the knowledge you were never tempted to want or wish for, such beautiful air gun engineering.

What is the ft lbs this gun shoots at 6ft lbs. I have a 300 s and 300su. The reason that i am not on the BBS more often and I would like to is the difficulty of posting pics. I am surprised that it hasnt been sorted.

I commented earlier on the 300RT.
Is the action identical to the 300s 300su?.
If the answer is yes, the value is in the stock?.

Pretty much in terms of internals, Les, but the loading port is skewed to the side, for easier access with a 'scope. Plus there's no provision for a front sight.

As noted by Garvin, the major parts of the power plant are common and the Running Boar has a loading port offset for scope use (much like the TX200) and a simple muzzle weight with no separate assembly to carry a front sight.

The trigger is also slightly different at it is set up to act as a single stage unit rather than a two stage on the universal or the normal 300S.

From memory the unit had an extra spring that pulled the trigger blade back, essentially taking out the first stage movement.

You could unhook and remove this spring and get a two stage operation, but the trigger unit was definitely not as sensitive as the Universal or Match versions.

    Great information regarding the 300RT.
Thanks for the update on the specification of the 300RT.
    Regards
    Les..
