    Remington sabre

Have just purchased 2 of these and on cocking both make a loud spring noise as if the spring is caching on the piston sleeve has anyone had this problem

Take it apart and have a look. They may not have a piston sleeve.
General deburr, Polish and light greasing makes all the difference.

I like the look of the sabre.
    Repariere nicht, was nicht kaputtist.

Had the same with an express I bought, same internals I think. Stripped it down and full of rough edges all need fettling. I fitted a Diana 34 spring and piston seal, made areal nice gun. Piston sleeve had two dents in where cocking arm fits. Good strip guide on y**tube for express.
