Are you able to adjust the scope using the windage and elevation turrets?.

    Kindest regards

    Yep, that isn't an issue.
It just seams a large amount to adjust.
    Is this normal?

It could be that the scope was not optically centred to start with, was it new or new to you? Only asking because Hawke reckon that all their scopes are centred at the factory, at least the recently manufactured ones.

You could shim the scope to get it closer.
This supposed to be the proper way.

Should be centred then so something to consider is, depending on scope centre line compared to barrel centre line, you could have an initial line of sight/muzzle differential of anywhere twixt 1.5 inch to 2.0 inch plus. All other things being equal the pellet will already be these distances "low" the moment it leaves the barrel.

Most Hawke scopes are 1/4 MOA per click which for easy calculation is 1/4 inch POI change at 100 yards or 1/8 inch at 50 yards or 1/16 inch at 25 yards. So you would need at least 24 to 32 clicks up to compensate for the above, and then some for pellet drop.

That's how I figure this scope dark art malarkey and it works.
