    Hmm.

Reblued over pitting... Looks too dark, too shiny. Still a very handsome rifle but not one for me, surprise, surprise.

yes, I don't mind refinished rifles if they look "right" (I'm not a propper collector like most of you folks - I just shoot 'em).. but this is too black. A browner finish would have been much nicer, and been more complimentary to the slight pitting.
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

I really like it, better than the original. Scope and full length stock would be good as well.

If it was in poor condition to start off with why not?

I like it, though I think given the surface condition I’d have rust blued it.

This is the one to use in the field. Looks ace, but no issue of it gets dent.

I would willingly dig deep and give you 20 quid for it; then leave it outside for a few days and nights to get that 'patina' every Morris makes noises about.
Never mind my offer. Of equal or more important concern, does it shoot well?

For what it's worth, that would be my opinion as well.

I am trying to live with it
    It may grow on me
But I very much doubt it, better suited to an American

No, much better as a used bell target gun for a youngster or diminutive lady. Not a big fan of the finish but not a common gun so worth having just because of what it is.
