    Help with vintage pellet weight

Got these RWS 530 Extra in older tin, I assume these are 53 grams or 8.2 grains? If they are I can’t understand how these can be faster in my AA Camargue than 7 grain hobby’s? If 8.2 it’s shooting at 11.5 FPE which is about right? The Hobby’s are in the 10+ FPE range?

How about diameter between them? Weight & design may also be the factor.
Different rifle may give different results

Is the 8.2 correct? My thought is if I have the weights correct, the the Hobbys have wider skirts and since the tap loading doesn’t seat the pellet energy is wasted seating them as they are shot?

Get some digital jewellers scales if you don’t already have some, essential bit of kit.
Less than $10 on the bay and will do the job.
