    crosman medallist 1300

Hi all, is anyone making/supplying a flat top piston, o ring conversion for a medallist 1300?
Mine has recently returned to me in a sorry state and i'd like to get it shooting again.
    Many thanks

Keep me posted if you find one as my original rubber cup is a bit knackered.

If I get desperate I might buy some brass and make some!

I know a few suppliers make them for 1322s etc

do you need to make a new valve front, or is there enough meat there to just machine the old one down ?
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

On 1322s and 1377s you just machine the tit off, Jon --- plenty of meat left.

i'll do some next month i've not had time on the lathe since before xmas, once i've got caught up on filling log stores and had my first fishing trip of the year i'll be building parts stockback up
i convert old pistons to take a new head or make them from scratch

Can I ask what advantage you get from the flat topped piston and valve arrangement?

it eliminates head space and a greater percentage of the swept volume goes into the valve

Thank you, will probably do it with the 1377 I’ve got, if I ever find the pump tube or are able to buy one.

Looking at the three series I look to have a series 1 trigger frame and a series 2 BB barrel and breach. The bit in the middle, who knows, I can’t find the ruddy thing!

it'll be a late phase 1 as only the early ones had a steel breech (late 79 i believe they started fitting the plastic breech),later tubes will fit but you'll have to notch the pump slot or use a later pump lever
