It is a fact that the supply of an airgun for commercial purposes by mail order is illegal. The fact that none of the parties involved can be prosecuted does not mean that no crime is committed.

The BF cannot release the rifle since in doing so they would be an accessory to a crime.
I'm not meaning to laugh at the situation, but it really is fascinating how situations like this can arise!
