In 12 fpe springers one of these usually works:
    RWS: Superdomes, Hobbys
JSB: Exact, Express, RS (or rebrands like AA etc)
    H&N: FTT

A lot of older pellets can work well too, but the listed ones are still made.

fit a tinbum short stroke nose and a guide set.. it'll shoot nicer and change which pellets it likes anyways

H&N FTTs are a great bet in HW barrels. Also try the FAPs
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

I'd fit a Titan No 10 spring with a bit of extra preload to bring it up to power. That is what I have in mine and it makes a lovely soft recoil. Plus a tune kit to fit like a Tinbum one (if it fits the spring).

If the Eley wasps are original ones then they are worth a lot more than you paid for them.

Yeah, but some rifles need the RWS pellets. Probably not an 80 though, as they have sensible breech tapers and "5,5mm" barrels.

In the 1980s when i had HW80s in both calibre's i used Eley wasps with great success, they were the standard bench mark pellet of the day.

Falcon Accuracy Plus, JSB RS, FTT, Accupel or super domes (though not the best for longer range groups in my experience). The heavier 16 grain JSB / AA field are great but lighter pellets give a nicer shot cycle in springers.

Personally I would start with JSB RS, my 22 80 and 90 prefer them and they are unlikely to be poor so usable and not a waste of cash
