A Haenel Air Pistol For Sale

For Sale: An early Haenel Air Pistol in 4.5mm/.177 made before the company named it the Model 28. All markings are clear and readable, whilst the original blued finish has a nice faded patina to it, which is often seen on surviving Lugers and upon which the Haenel air pistol was loosely based. Grips are undamaged and one Haenel medallion remains intact. The other looks to have been lost decades ago and was replaced with a nineteenth century coin of the same size as the medallion! All screws are undamaged and the pistol is in working order.

The cocking stroke is unusual but smooth and the pistol shoots consistently. I have recently enjoyed peppering a tin can on the range placed 8 yards away and the Haenel hit it most of the time. Misses were probably down to me rather than the pistol.

The Haenel and Model 28 do not come up for sale that often and are considered to be one of the air pistol classics. They are properly made from steel and walnut. This one is available for £180. I can post for an additional £12.

John, would be interested in knowing the serial number of the Haenel Air Pistol so I can add it to my Haenel serial number spreadsheet.

    Many thanks,
    Bruce Jr.

Oh sugar and spice or words to that effect. Just seen your Haenal for sale just what I would have liked but I'm too slow. Congratulations Steve. If you ever sell another I hope to be first in the queue.

    Sorry you missed out.

I'm having a bit of a clearout of vintage items plus a few more modern CO2 airguns, so watch this space!

    Kind regards,

    John
