Common sense says probably best to have the item in hand, and be in a position to agree and process the sale as if it were your own, just for ease and swiftness. IMHO.
Also best to preempt questions likely to be asked and create a good, solid advert with all the pics and info you’d want if you yourself were a potential buyer.
Power, age, history, calibre .... often left out.
